Beginning your child's reading journey with four introductory levels

Level 1 - Camel

The books in this level are aimed at 3 and 4 year olds who need to develop their Communication and Language skills as set out in the National Curriculum. The detail in the illustrations lends itself to various opportunities to expand children’s vocabulary.

Level 2 - Sea Turtle

First Reader Books

The books in this level are aimed at emergent readers with a focus on Consonant Vowel Consonant (CVC) words i.e. p-o-p. These words are easy to segment and blend - which are cardinal skills needed to become proficient readers. The illustrations support the development of the child’s comprehension skills when asked questions about the story.

Level 3 - Fox

Skilled Reader Books

Children are continuing their amazing reading journey and will encounter new High Frequency Words as well as words containing pure sounds which are best buddies and make new sounds that appear regularly in words.

Level 4 - Dugong

Proficient Readers Books

Level 4 continues to help children explore their knowledge of new High Frequency Words. These exciting stories contain slightly longer sentences to help develop reading endurance. Children will also become more aware of the punctuation in this level and want to experiment with expression, so enjoy!

Our journey has begun with 48 books across four reading levels, but we’re not going to stop there! We'll shortly be releasing eight additional reading levels - that's an extra 96 books! Our illustrations are based on the beautiful Emirati culture, familiar landmarks and buildings to enable our readers from the local community and the world to share in the wonder that is the UAE.

Why did we choose animals of the UAE as our Book Mascots?

The UAE is home to many animals and some unique to this region. As conservation is close to our hearts, we decided to feature an animal from the UAE as a focus in each of our levels and to bring interesting and fun facts about them to the children.
